Privacy

How Record Booth handles your account, audio, and collaborations across web, mobile, and the desktop agent.

Overview

Record Booth (“we”, “us”) is a cloud-connected music workspace for producers, engineers, and collaborators. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use recordbooth.live, the Record Booth mobile apps, and the desktop agent — and how we use it.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Record Booth.

What we collect

  • Account

Email, hashed password, producer name, optional profile photo, and optional avatar preferences.

  • Project & audio content

Booth titles, versions, stems, mixes, lyrics, notes, melody takes, and related metadata you upload or sync.

  • Collaboration

Invite emails, roles, permissions (such as DAW access), and activity inside shared booths.

  • Sharing & open verse

Share links you create, recipients you choose, and open-verse submissions you send or receive.

  • Device & notifications

Push notification tokens on mobile and basic platform details needed to deliver alerts.

  • Billing

Subscription status via our payment processor or the App Store / Google Play. We do not store full card numbers.

  • Technical logs

Server logs and diagnostics that help keep uploads, sync, and playback reliable. We do not sell this data.

How we use it

  • Provide and operate Record Booth — accounts, storage, streaming, and DAW sync.
  • Enable collaboration — invites, shares, activity, and push notifications.
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, enforce storage limits, and fix issues.
  • Send transactional email (welcome, password reset, invites, billing notices).

Sharing

We share information only as needed to run the Service:

  • People you invite or share with — they can access what you grant them.
  • Service providers — hosting, email, payments, and push delivery, under agreements that limit use to providing their service.
  • Legal — when required by law or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell your personal information.

Storage & security

Audio and media are stored with cloud object storage. Account and project data live in our application database. We use encryption in transit, access controls, and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

We keep your data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. When you delete content or request account deletion, we remove or de-identify data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may be able to:

  • Access or update profile details in Settings
  • Manage or delete projects and files you control
  • Turn off push notifications in your device settings
  • Request a copy or deletion of your personal data
  • Cancel a subscription through Stripe, the App Store, or Google Play

Email crew@recordbooth.live for privacy requests. We may need to verify it’s you before acting.

Children

Record Booth is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

Changes

We may update this policy as Record Booth evolves. The effective date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
